Susan Mahr's Garden

This garden is still under construction (and probably always will be!

Although I am not a certified Master Gardener, I am an avid gardener, with personal interests that include vegetable gardening, bulbs and perennials. My husband Dan and I maintain a 2-acre "botanic garden" yard that has over 45 varieties of trees and shrubs, and more perennials than we can count. We also have an attached greenhouse on our home where I grow tropicals such as orchids, plumeria, hibiscus, ginger, palms and cycads (and he grows cactus and succulents). Some recent additions include a flagstone patio, poetry garden, and conversion of the former cactus garden to a rock garden. We also expanded the deck to better display container plants and Dan's succulent bonsai. Read more about the history of the gardens.  PDF file

If you're going to be in the Madison area and want to visit my gardens, please let me know ahead of time (so I can quickly get rid of the worst of the weeds, ha ha).
