Our Association:

The N.E.W. Association, established in 1979 contains members from Brown, Calumet, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Oconto, Shawano and Outagamie counties. We strive to provide a welcome to the world of horticulture whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro. We continue to focus on education for our members and everyone in our community by providing a wide variety of both educational and fun classes in a variety of settings.

Activities and Projects:

We sponsor a wide variety of activities and projects providing opportunities to become involved at many levels. Projects, classes and workshops are held throughout the area wherever the need may be.  Listed here are some of the many projects members are involved in:

    *    N.E.W. Outdoor Living and Landscape Expo

    *    Annual Plant Sale and Crab Apple Open House

Fall Fest display September 2006.

    *    Fall Fest – fall plant and bulb sale and autumn harvest sale

    *    Multitude of classes including gardening and craft projects

    *    Horticulture Therapy to aid those among us with physical limitations

    *    Brown County Fair judging

    *    Plant Clinics and the Green Bay Botanical Garden

    *    City/Mayor’s Beautification Committee

    *    Monthly classes working with kids and horticulture to increase interest

    *    Master Gardener Basic Training program to train and educate new members.

    *    Quarterly Membership meetings each with a featured speaker from the world of horticulture.
