Fair Exhibits

2008

 
The theme for 2008 was Attracting Beneficials to your Garden.  Our display goes to three fairs each Year including the Iron County Michigan, Florence County Fair in Wisconsin and ends with the Dickinson County Michigan Fair. 
 

2006


At the Iron County Fair in Iron County, MI in 2006

Arlene, Karen, Fleurette, Mary Jane and Betsy were on the set-up crew for the 2006 display on poisonous/ harmful plants. 

Their display attracted a great deal of attention and won a blue ribbon again this year!

2005

The Iron County Michigan Fair booth that the group of members put up in August of 2005. The set-up crew was Karen, Betsy, Arlene, Mary Jane and Fleurette. They took fifth place with a green ribbon in the commercial division and a cash reward.

2004

  The Glacial Gardeners had a display at the 2004 Iron County, Michigan Fair, which ran the weekend of August 20 - 22nd. They won a blue ribbon on their display again this year, which includes a cash award of ten dollars. The display not only explained about the Glacial Gardener group, but included information on Gypsy Moths. the set up crew was Pat, Fleurette, Karen, Arlene, and Betsy.

2003

The Glacial Gardener members from the Iron County Michigan area set up an exhibit at the 2003 Iron County Fair.  (Which they took a blue ribbon on.)  The display was on growing deer proof perennials in the Iron County area. You can read more about it in the August issue of the GG Grapevine   The designers and set up crew for the display were (from L to R)  Fleurette, Pat, Mary Jane, Betsy, and Karen.
