One of the groups' activities is as a partner in
the Food, Fun and Fitness Program, a summer nutrition and education
program for children. This program received the National Summer Sunshine
Award from the USDA in 1999.
The Aurora site gets a clean up in May 2007, with some of the Glacial Gardener members working to plant some of the beds in the spring before the program gets started.
