Welcome to the homepage for WiscDsLox T-DNA Lines |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||
There are two different varieties of WiscDsLox T-DNA Lines. WiscDsLox and WiscDsLoxHs lines were made using completely different T-DNA vectors. Click on the name of each line for detailed information. Briefly: 1. WiscDsLox lines carry a Ds transposon and LoxP sites. No source of Ac Transposase is present in these lines. WiscDsLox lines must be crossed to a line expressing Ac Transposase in order to mobilize the transposon. 2. WiscDsLoxHs lines carry a Ds transposon and LoxP sites. In addition, these lines also carry a gene encoding Ac Transposase under the control of a heat-shock inducible promoter. This vector was originally constructed by the laboratory of Venkatesan Sundaresan (Nishal et al, 2005). We have modified Sundaresan's vector by introducing LoxP sites.
