Position Responsibilities & Duties:

President:
    *prepare & run meetings
    *contact person for the public
    *oversee, assist and fill in for other officers
    *Delegate jobs; distribute workload
   *Ensure planned activities are in agreement of majority
   *Keep things organized and running smoothly - getting rooms unlocked as needed, checking mailbox, collecting necessary paperwork when needed, communicate with Hort Office, provide equipment needed for meetings
   *Relay scholarship, internship, job announcements to club

Vice President:
    *Schedules speakers and fieldtrips
    *Runs meetings in absence of president
    *Presents ideas for club activities
    *Organizes registration, transportation, etc for activities
    *Helps plan weekend/vacation trips (i.e. Florida, California, etc.)

Treasurer:
    *Handles day to day financial matters
    *Records payments and deposits
    *Present financial information at each meeting
    *Pays credit card bill
    *Collect and deposit money from t-shirt sales, plant sale, fundraisers
    *Seeks additional funding from ASM or CALS Student Council if necessary

Secretary:
    *Keeps track of meeting attendance
    *Records and distributes meeting minutes
    *Keeps track of points for club sponsored trips

CALS Student Council Reps (2):
    *Attend CALS Student Council meetings once a month
    *Relay information back to club

Webmaster:
    *Keep web page up to date with club pictures, contact information, job postings, officer descriptions, meeting minutes and any other pertinent information

Historian:
    *Responsible for club camera
    *Documents club events through photos
    *Be available to photograph any / all club events throughout the year
    *Adds stuff to scrapbook
    *Puts together end-of-year slide show

Public Relations:
    *Make horticulture students/campus/public aware of events and activities
    *Plant sale advertising
    *Recruit new members by advertising in classes
    *Put up signs for biweekly meetings
    *Attend events such as the Majors Fair and Student Org Fair

Plant Sale Committee:
    *Two thumbs up! Great summer fun!!!!
    *Group of people to work:
        *Planning
        *Making plant order
        *Advertising
        *Recruiting help
        *Preliminary set-up
        *General madness surrounding the plant sale
    *Especially need help from people who will be in Madison over the summer.
    *Great work experience and awesome way to really get involved!

Forager:
    *Maintain cleanliness at meetings
    *Order and pick up refreshments and food for meetings
    *Pick up plates, napkins, forks, etc...
    *Pick up miscellaneous items needed for events and fundraisers
