Faculty Award

The Faculty Award is given out to a member of the Horticulture Department that shows great interest in or has greatly helped the club. The award is voted on by the club members and is given out every year at the spring banquet.

James Nienhuis-

Although Jim's real passion is vegetables, he has been the backbone of the Horticulture Club the past couple of years.  Serving as an active advisor, Jim's concern for club members is shown in his actions.  While he has done many things for the Horticulture Club over the years,  his biggest help has been in coordinating a trip to Costa Rica during winter break.  He has spent countless hours arranging for guest speakers, tours, transportation, housing accommodations, and many other logistics.  The club is very grateful to have Jim as an advisor and the award was well deserved.
